Therapy for Survivors of Interpersonal Trauma

Interpersonal trauma includes physical, sexual, or emotional abuse; domestic violence; sexual assault; intense bullying; or any other related trauma.

This kind of trauma can happen in childhood as well as adulthood, and the experience can affect your sense of self, your ability to feel safe and secure, and your level of trust in others. Problems associated with interpersonal trauma often include:

  • complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • difficulty with interpersonal relationships
  • difficulty regulating emotion
  • depression and anxiety

Infertility Counseling and Maternal Mental Health

The experience of infertility at any stage is often very overwhelming. There are many areas to navigate, both emotionally and from a practical perspective. Support from a professional specifically trained in infertility counseling and related issues can help a great deal as you endeavor to build your family.

My area of expertise include:

  • Building a family through donor gametes (egg, sperm, or embryo donation) and/or surrogacy*
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF) and other assisted reproduction technologies
  • Pregnancy and infant loss
  • Repeated miscarriage
  • Complicated birth
  • Postpartum depression or anxiety

* Documentation of donor gamete psycho-educational consultation for recipient parents can be provided to reproductive endocrinology clinics as needed
